Princess Charlene is no longer in the bridal shadow of Princess Grace. Now a wedding icon in her own right, the embroidered Armani gown showcased her natural elegance.

Princess Charlene's simple veil made from 20 meters of off-white silk tulle, with an embroidered edge. No tiara, but a diamond floral hair ornament on her loose chignon was her only jewelry besides her rings. Photo: Palais Princier

They married “at home” in the Main Courtyard of the Palais Princier. The guests were almost outnumbered by musicians and priests.

Don't you think a simple home wedding is often the nicest? Photo: Palais Princier

Every detail of the wedding, from the setting to the stirring music, was perfect (confirming my hunch that the Prince had a meticulous hand in the planning).

Best wishes to the newly married couple! Congratulations to Monaco!
